Im intersted in finding anyone who knew or served with: PFC Alvin Preston Cunningham, 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Tank Battalion (possibly 21st Regiment on Guam). Better known as "Buck". Killed in action on Guam July, 1944. I am his daughter, and as I was an infant when he joined the service, he was killed before I ever had the opportunity to know him. I feel I have a hole in my heart where memories of my father should be. I desperately want to know ANYTHING about him, no matter how small. I was adopted by my stepfather at a young age, and was never allowed to pursue information on, or discuss my father. I am sending for service records, but need to know the man behind the records. Was he funny, quiet...ANYTHING? I KNOW HE HAD TO BE SPECIAL..HE WAS A MARINE. Thank you for any help you can give me.
