Comments: I was a Corpsman with 1st platoon at Ca Lu, Rockpile, Con Tien, Khe Sanh, Cam lo, Camp Carroll and all the bush in between. I was wounded on Valentines Ridge on 14Feb68 and awarded the Purple Heart by General Davis at Quang Tri in August 1968. We had many KIA that day including our CO Captain Ward and Senior Corpsman Goss. Remember them on the 14th. They gave their all for us.

Comments: Webmaster emailed me to remind me he had a Web site. Thanks. I entered San Diego boot camp on Jan 30, 1968. Detailed to Ft. Monmouth, N.J. to study combat photography. Assigned to Landing Force Training Command, Coronado, CA (next to San Diego). I had to request mast to the I.G. to get transferred to Vietnam. Assigned to HQ Bn as combat photographer and went on numerous search and destroy missions just south of DMZ. Nixon returned me to Okinawa in the first major pull back of the war, August, 1969. I would like to hear from anyone I served with, or who might know someone in my units. Cpl Terry Henry, are you out there? Woody?

Comments: My father John R. Miller served with the Corps during the above years and was discharged after receiv-ing a severe head wound that required a steel plate in his head. I'm still waiting for his records from St. Louis, but the photo I have of him in his dress uniform shows the Caltrap on his shoulder, and three ribbons on the front.I did get some info from the VFW when I joined, but I don't understand it.
