Comments: I am interested in sharing my experiences and service while serving in Vietnam.I also have a desire to learn more about the 3d Marine Division and what they know about my tour of duty in Vietnam. I also would like to join. I think you should know that I am 100% disabled (Service Connected) from the war, although I receive total benefits from the VA and Social Security, I don't understand why the Marine Corps did not at least award me the Combat Action Ribbon. I am proud of all the other awards, citations etc., but I would like to at least have the CAR because they won't or can't substantiate my wounds from poisoning and brain damage from an anti tank mine, not to mention Chronic PTSD. Bilatteral Tinnitus, Hearing Loss and too many other maladies worth getting into...I'm not whinning, just coping and desire to serve and give of my time and abilities that I do possess. Sorry, I'll stop here as I know there are many other less fortunate Marines and Servicemen and women that are worse off.

I was a very frightened kid when I first arrived, but eventually I developed a degree of confidence. I had to, they promoted me to Corporal and made me squad leader of a heavy machine guns section. Comments: Glad I found this web site, I,ve been browseing for some time now. Found the 3/3 site and others. I'm looking for a way of pulling up a COMPLETE list of KIA 's by units(3/3). The one I found on the 3/3 site is incomplete. Also I am looking for anyone out their who remembers my friend L/Cpl William Prom. He was one hell of a Marine! In 1969 he was killed and was later awarded the Medal of Honor. Any PI Marines of Platoon 344 out there?
