FT WORTH STOCKYARDS NATIONAL HISTORIC DISTRICT ACTIVITIES &
BILLY BOB’S TEXAS BAR-B-Q DINNER
Thursday, September 16, 2021

Fort Worth is where the West begins, and nothing embodies Western heritage better than the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District.  From the original brick walkways to the wooden corrals, every inch of the Stockyards tells the true history of Texas’ famous livestock industry.  Among the attractions there is the world’s only twice daily Longhorn cattle drive, held every day at 11:30 AM & 4:00 PM.  Some of the other notable attractions are the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame, which honors the men and women, committees and associations, and the livestock that champions the western lifestyle and supports the sport of Rodeo.  You may choose to go to the John Wayne Museum, called the John Wayne Exhibit for $21.  Starting with his early childhood and career, each room highlights an aspect of The Duke’s legacy.  All patrons will have exclusive access to never-before-seen family photos and correspondences which have been thoughtfully curated by the Wayne family in order to give guests a holistic view of the icon, whose values translate both on the silver screen and off.  Another option while at the Stockyards, we are invited by RFD-TV (Cowboy Channel) into their studio to watch a live TV show at 5:00 PM.  We’ll all meet at the World’s Largest Honky-tonk – Billy Bob’s Texas, at 6:15 for a true Texas BBQ dinner in our own private room.  After dinner partake in (or just watch) the free line dancing lessons!   Guaranteed lots of fun and laughs.

Time: 14:00 p.m. board bus, 21:00 p.m. back at hotel
