The Dedicated Member Page program was initiated in 1968 by the late CWO T. O. Kelly, USMC (Ret), and has continued as a vital fund-raiser for the Association ever since.
Each year dedicated Association members have contributed generously to the project, setting new contribution records almost annually.
In 1980, T. O., working with his wife Margaret, set a record of 225 $10 donations.
The following year, the Kellys stepped down for health reasons and Association President Leo Farrow appointed the late Lenny Mormino to succeed T. O. as Dedicated Member Chairman.
Lenny, who earned the nickname “Mr. Incomparable” for his performance, more than doubled the previous year’s record receiving 549 donations. The key to his success that year was inviting members to make an additional $10 contribution to have listed the names of their spouses or in memory of a loved one. He also accounted for nearly five pages of Journal advertising that year. According to the 1981 Reunion Journal, the only thing that stopped him that year was the Journal’s copy deadline.
