Cpl John R. Miller
I Co. 3bn / 21st Marines 1943-44

John Miller served as an automatic rifleman and was wounded on Bougainville and again on Guam. His daughter Karoline is looking for anyone who might remember serving with him. H&S 81's 3/9

Picture was taken in January 1967 when 3/9 rotated back to Okinawa, to be rebuilt, and shows some of the old and some of the new, getting ready to go back to Nam.

Lt. Pope, platoon Commander, Gunny Diguardi, Forward Observers that I can remember were, Larry Brown, Tom Vanderhoef, and David Martin.
